Canadian Town Says No To Cellphone Coverage

While the world is craving for more communication technology, New Denver B.C , population 556, does not want to have cellphone coverage and is fighting to keep telecommunication company from installing a transmission antenna to bring cellphone coverage to the small community.
“People get sick and tired of having conversations interrupted by someone picking up a beeping machine,” says New Denver’s long-time mayor, Gary Wright. “It’s just another of those gizmos that change the way we act as human beings.”[The Globe and Mail]
