The founder of The Weather Channel, John Coleman, said global warming is “the greatest scam in history” last November. On March 3, 2008 , while speaking at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change being held in New York City, Coleman took his criticisms further by advocating that all those involved in the sale and marketing of carbon credits, including Al Gore, should be sued “to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming. Global warming alarmists say that the issues are not subject to debate… even if there is scientific countermands.

“Global warming crusader Al Gore repeatedly claims the climate change “debate’s over.” It isn’t, but the news media clearly agree with him. Global warming skeptics rarely get any say on the networks, and when their opinions are mentioned it is often with barbs like “cynics” or “deniers” thrown in to undermine them.

Consistently viewers are being sent only one message from ABC, CBS and NBC: global warming is an environmental catastrophe and it’s mankind’s fault. Skepticism is all but shut out of reports through several tactics – omission, name-calling, the hype of frightening images like polar bears scavenging for food near towns and a barrage of terrifying predictions.” [BMI]

While in Canada many businesses over the past years, magically became “green”, and claim that their products or services are “environmentally friendly” for any reasons, some countries like Australia have tightened the rules. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission put in place strict guidelines concerning these type of claims.

Here in Vancouver, there’s cement companies such as Ocean Construction Supplies Limited, one of Lehigh Cement Company’s ready-mix operations doing business on Granville Island advertising themselves as being green and eco-friendly!

“Australian marketers are being advised to stop making vague claims about a product’s environmental benefits. New guidelines from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission warns companies about claiming products are “green,”“environmentally friendly,” “environmentally safe,” “energy efficient,” “recyclable” or “carbon neutral. Today’s Washington Post published an article entitled “Carbon Output Must Near Zero to Avert Danger, New Studies Say,” . The picture shown above appears on the front page and it’s captioned , “heavy haze could be seen in Beijing in August 2007. Two recent reports call for a heightened global effort to reduce carbon emissions. ”

Who are you trying to fool. That’s environmental fear mongering at its best, the type that people like David Suzuki love to use. Carbon Dioxide could not create such a heavy haze or smog simply because carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colorless, tasteless, odorless, noncombustible gas that is soluble in water. Because CO2 is one and one half times as heavy as air it tends to ‘pool’ in low areas such as basements and underground areas not subject to air movement. In the picture the “smog” is up the air.

The Georgia Straight Living magazine published an article about Suzuki at Home. That same David Suzuki who, last month, called 2 times for those who disagree with him, to be thrown in jail for ignoring the “science” behind climate change. Here is a quote from a stand up comedian that I particularly like:

Has the environmentalists killed cool? Did it die the day David Suzuki proved his cause too precious for his own good, or was it when he suggested to throw those who disagree with him in jail? Did it vanish along with any rational dialogue about climate change.

Yes, the assassins of cool still walk our streets and their ideology is accepted by the mainstream medias as the only truth. These fake hipsters zombies—now more likely to be brokers or lawyers than art-school dropouts.
