NEW CAREER IN THE HORIZON: Carbon Trader

As kids we’ve all heard that wish list of careers our parents would choose for us when we grow up — fireman, police doctor, lawyer, banker.

Now, thanks to global warming alarmism, we better add a new profession to the list: carbon trader. That’s right and the new profession will be created just here in Vancouver. According to the Vancouver Sun, the Rainy City will probably become Carbon City with the formation of a carbon trading registry.

“The fight against global warming has sparked what can only be called a Green Rush. There’s a vast pool of money floating around the climate-change battle and a lot of the action is going to centre around controlling and trading a brand new commodity: carbon.
We’ve been slow here to tap into this multibillion-dollar industry. But in the next few days, Vancouver just may be beginning to stake out its claim as Carbon City with the formation of a carbon trading registry.”[The Vancouver Sun]

Manhattan Declaration on Climate Change: Global Warming Is Not A Global Crisis.

Too bad for all the eco-freaks out there, who built a career on the global warming scam and who happen to be reading this great blog. The Global Warming hoax is revealing itself more and more:

“Scientists and researchers participating in the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change at the Marriott Marquis Hotel on Times Square in New York City closed business today by considering the accompanying “Manhattan Declaration on Climate Change.”

Affirming that attempts by governments to legislate costly regulations on industry and individual citizens to encourage CO2 emission reduction will slow development while having no appreciable impact on the future trajectory of global climate change. Such policies will markedly diminish future prosperity and so reduce the ability of societies to adapt to inevitable climate change, thereby increasing, not decreasing, human suffering;” [Heartland Institute]

BC Carbon-Tax a Hoax?

While I believe that global warming is real, I am skeptical that it is attributable to human activity, that it may pose a threat to the human race. I strongly believe that there is an attainable solution. I am also against all government intervention regarding this matter. There is, in my view, an under-reporting of scientific findings that do not support the theory of global warming. I personally believe in global climate change. Not disputing even that pollution and blog posts like mine certainly aren’t helping, but are they causing this? The new “carbon tax” implemented by our BC Liberals, confirmed that the notion of man’s complete responsibility for global warming has wrongly been adopted as universal truth here in B.C.  [Read more]
