Here is a French innovation coming to us from INRA (the French institute of agricultural research): Cows equipped with portholes. That’s not a joke! Check this out!

When I first looked at the videos and pictures, I was shocked. I never heard of cows equipped with these sort of potholes. However nothing indicates that the animal suffers.

I am surprised that is the French that came up with this and not the Chineses. These portholes are giving access to the cow’s stomach to analyze the food they eat.

Shepherd Junior High School in Mesa, Arizona has begun vigorously enforcing its rule prohibiting hugs of more than two seconds’. Students are protesting this silly rule with a “hug-a-thon”.

“I think it’s ridiculous,” said Chelsea Branham, a 14-year-old student at Shepherd Junior High School in east Mesa.Branham said she got detention this week for hugging her friend after school.” [CBS]
